Evidence Hierarchy
Where available, we rely on evidence in the following order of preference:
- Primary documents: legislation, regulator publications, licence registers, court records and official filings.
- Direct company materials: announcements, terms and conditions, product pages and investor disclosures.
- Reputable secondary reporting and industry publications.
- Direct testing and observation, documented with date and context.
Lower-tier evidence is labelled as such and is not presented as verified fact.
Market Research
Market coverage considers the legal and regulatory framework, licensing model, regulator, product scope, taxation and fee structures where documented, payment landscape, responsible gambling obligations and significant developments. Market pages are built from documented information rather than generated placeholders.
Operator and Company Research
Operator research may examine:
- Identity, ownership and corporate structure
- Licensing and jurisdiction
- Availability by market
- Product scope and game or betting offering
- Payments, limits and withdrawal processes
- Security and account controls
- Responsible gambling tools
- Terms and material restrictions

Reviews
Reviews evaluate products against documented criteria, not commercial placement. Where a score or rating is used, the inputs, weights and update policy are published. We do not create scores solely to produce a ranking, and a commercial relationship never raises an assessment.
Research Reports and Datasets
Research publications identify their sources, definitions, assumptions, limitations and methodology. Claims are linked to supporting sources where possible. Datasets state their coverage period and update status, and we distinguish historical data from current information.
Verification Dates
Licences, market access, regulation, payment availability and operator terms change frequently. Time-sensitive material displays when it was last verified and, where applicable, when it is next due for review.
Limitations
Our research reflects the information available at the time of verification. Some facts, such as private company financials, are not publicly disclosed, and we do not present estimates as verified figures. Where uncertainty exists, we say so.
